While fishing on Dryberry Lake, Ontario, in August of 1991, we came across this moose feeding along the shoreline.
Fortunately, I already had the video camera with me and was able to capture the encounter. Back then, carrying a video camera on a fishing trip wasn’t nearly as simple as carrying a phone or GoPro today, so I’m glad I had it running at the right time.
It’s one of those unexpected moments that makes a fishing trip memorable—even when it has nothing to do with catching fish.
Another piece of fishing history I’m glad I saved on video.
